How do we treat our elderly gay men? What would you do if your father said he was gay? This may give you a glimpse of what I'm talking about:

http://www.npr.org/2011/06/02/136499797/beginners-a-sons-love-letter-to-his-gay-father

The film is supposed to be released tomorrow, I have to find it in a theater even if I have to drive fifty miles.

"Beginners" sounds like a winner. It only remains to be seen how it will be received by the general population. The gay and straight community should go see this film. It may answer more than a few questions about gay men and how they relate to their family.

Kudos to Mike Mills for bringing this to us. And you will find the commentary after the article to be most interesting and supportive.

I know what my son said.

He said "So what?" and he hugged me.

"I'm so relieved," my elder daughter said, "I was afraid you were going to tell us that you had found yourself another woman." Very Happy
