As a story in its own merits, I think it's fair to good.
Viewing it with the religious overtones, it might well be more factual than many of the currently accepted chapters of the Bible.

Frankly, we think such laws are silly. They do young people more harm than good. How can you possibly ask questions on a gay forum without coming out to your parents if you need consent?
