I have been trying to purchase the x-rated versions of Ray's trilogy and other epub books through his site raysstories.com. Things work fine until it is checkout time and there is difficulties with PayPal. Emails to him have gone into limbo, not returned as undeliverable yet not answered either. When this happens I worry that something bad has happened to the author.  One of my favorite erotic authors "Josh" has disappeared without trace, as have a few others.

Has anyone heard anything?

I have not heard from Ray for maybe six months. But he usually turns up form time to time.

Josh has been silent for a very long time

I come and go. LOL
PayPal is being a dick, and not in a good way. They put my account into what they call 'limited status' which means I can not accept money nor send it, nor can I retrieve the money in the account for six months. They say I broke their terms of service when I donated $5 US to a gay webiste that had some good stories and pics on it. Nothing pornographic in the least. I've bought memberships on gay websites with pornography with PayPal with no problems many times. I've even gotten memberships on sites that are nothing but nudes and sexual scenes, yet no trouble. The site they say I broke their terms by donating to still has PayPal and still takes payments and donations, and he's not had any problems at all. PayPal only shut down my account. Fucking stupid assholes. He has no youths, no one that even looks younger than eighteen, and has swimsuits and shorts pics and no nudes, but PayPal got a cock up their ass over it and there's nothing more I can try to do. I now have no way to accept payments for books or donations, so now I have to find a PayPal replacement, which is far too difficult to do. So for now I have no way to sell on my own. If anyone knows a good replacement for PayPal for online sales I'd love to hear about it.
I've tried 2checkout but they actually told me no, that my credit rating was too low. What the hell does credit rating have to do with wanting to accept payments online? Idiots.
Stripe wants me to tie a credit card to the account to set it up. No thank you. I will never again put one of my credit cards into any online business. Period.
