Please. While that word has subtly different uses worldwide, it is not totally appropriate, and crosses the unwritten line

I'm very pleased to learn about a new MB member, Pleased to meet you Alma! You're awesome!

This has been such a valuable thread.

For me, hate is just as destructive whether pointed outward or inward. And hate of others is often related to self-hate.

Buddhist philosophy says that hate rebounds on the hater three-fold...

Haters beware!

PS....I am havins such a good time in Thailand...I've been here 12 hours and we even got some sleep...not much, but a little bit....

I hesitate to recommend my own, and I refuse to pick out one or another hosted author for special praise. Chris and Nigel is certainly here. In general I find several others far more worthy.

Thanks so much for your support, Lenny. It means a lot. I´m trying to do more. Better late than never, no? Smile
As for Israel, my best friend, well understandably he did not see it quite that way at the time. He was really mad at me for some time, I feared he was not going to forgive me and I had ruined things for us. Maybe it was this that distracted me from Diego, the gay kid, because I felt faintly proud but really worried, you know? He was at that time my only positive emotional connection. I knew I should not have hit him, but our lives were violent since we were children and I was acting accordingly. He was doing the same. This often led us into a whole lot of trouble Sad. But thank God he listened to me after sulking for some time and most important he thought about what I said and decided I was right. It was a huge relief Smile. And besides the inherent good of that, it had another big advantage because like two years after that we found out his big brother, whom he adored, was gay. Ironic, huh? I told him yesterday I had found Diego again by accident last week. We are now plotting to introduce him to his brother. It was my brilliant idea Smile) but he´s quiet excited about it. It will at least give Diego a chance to meet more gay friends, but Israel is hoping for something more to develop between them Wink. "Soñar no cuesta nada" = "here´s hoping" Smile.
I´m convinced you deserved that friend, Lenny. And although this is not by far the same time and situation I would feel very honored if you consider me your friend from now on Smile Your a sweet guy from what I´ve read of your post and other´s and i look foward to getting to know you better if you´ll let me :)Be happy Lenny.
love much, alma.

I´m glad to meet you too, David. Thank you for the thought. I read here you´re reuniting with your love and I´m very happy for you. Love makes everything seem brighter and more beautiful, problems are easier to solve, good things all the better. Smile
I completly agree with you about hate. For haters that act on their hate i really hope this is true, and for haters that do not or have not i wish liberation.
Keep having a good time Smile

No matter if I'm right or not though, HELLO to you! Smile

It's always nice to get to know new people, and I for one am always happy to meet gay-friendly women. Smile I understand that you feel maybe you didn't handle the situation in the best way possible.

Maybe you're right, I don't know. I wasn't even there. Smile You DID SOMETHING at least, which is a hell of a lot more than most people can say. You also learned from your experience, and your friend that you socked learned too. Again, more than most people can say...

I bow before you in reverence and respect, perhaps you aren't perfect (none of us are - we're only humans), but you are still a great person! Smile I will be deeply honored to be your friend, that is the honest truth.

Now having said that, I wish to do a bit of self-advertising too, hehehe! If you liked Chris and Nigel, maybe you will like this too? I wrote this one when I was in England to visit Timmy last year.

Check it out, if you got the time: http://iomfats.org/storyshelf/hosted/zustara/kiss.htm

What needs be done is to educate, inform, enlighten and encourage people to treat all men as family.

It is possible.... Just not very probable...

But then again it is that hope that brings us together...

It is that hope which gives us the strength to endure...

Just my opinion...
Marc

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...
