A lot seems to have happened since we first met you, Sammy. One of those things is a large number of prayer circles that sprang up and hold you in their hearts.
I'm praying Thursday and beyond will make life simple again for you. Run free with the wind in your hair, Sammy.

hello there sammy. my son ashley has been a regular here for a long time. he is away right now at a clinic doing battle with some demons. it appears that you also have a battle with demons. you can win it you know?
you have a rather splendid arsenel at your disposal young man too. you have love, friendship, integrity, caring and prayers. these are all formidable weapons sammy and are usually more than a match for any demon.
your friends here you know and ones that you have not yet had the pleasure to know are all there waiting to aid you in your journey. you need not ever feel alone on this trek. all are with you.
accept the best wishes and love of a family you have never met but who feels your struggle.
love from david, mary and ashley dawson.

...Except in the human spirit, and I wish for Sammy's to remain strong so he can ride out this crisis. I wish for the sake of those he knows and will get to know once he is well again, and his sake of course, and those that love him as well.

I am thinking good thoughts for Sammy.

The thing I like about good thoughts, or prayers, call them what you will, is that it matters not at all what faith one has, or whether one has a faith.
We have had posts here already from more than one faith, and form one with no faith. And it all adds to the wishes and power of positive thought

To Sammy,
Words may exist that can convey what I feel like saying, but if they do, I know not what they are.

Visual art expresses much, yet I lack the skill.
So it is with only these paltry words and a simple thought that I place my hopes behind your health and happiness.

Best wishes for you to grow old, Sammy
Pink Floyd/Wots_..._Uh,_The_Deal/
Heaven said the promised land
Looks allright from where I stand
Cause I'm the man on the outside looking in
Waiting on the first step
Show where the key is kept
Point me down the right line because it's time
To let me in from the cold
Turn my land into gold
Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul
And I think I'm growing old
Flash the red is wots...uh the deal
Got to make to the next meal
Try to keep up with the turning of the wheel.
Mile after mile
Stone after stone
Turn to speak but you're alone
Million mile from home you're on your own
So let me in from the cold
Turn my land into gold
Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul
And I think I'm growing old
Fly bright by candlelight
Up out of my sight
And if she prefers we will never stir again
Someone said the promised land
And I grabbed it with both hands
Now I'm the man on the inside looking out
Hear me shout 'come on in, what's the news and where you been?'
Cause there's no wind left in my soul
And I've grown old

Sammy, a small percentage of those who read will reply. But the message has gone to all ho heard about you and thus all who offered you thoughts last time and in between times.
They don't know you, of course. But they all wish you well.

Hey Tyger,
I just wanted to let you know that you have a friend here who is really pulling for you. I believe that prayers work and I'm making sure that the results will be good by thinking of you and praying for you.
I'm blessed because I have nieces and nephews that are in good health. It's time that you shared in some of their good fortune.
Good luck my young friend. Keep your head up and if you ever need to talk I'm here for you.
Thinking good thoughts,
Billy

I wanted to send my most sincere wishes for Tyger's progress toward health, and that the surgery this Thursday goes well (if I'm reading the time correctly, or at least that it went well). I know it is difficult to be ill, especially with something like cancer which takes a very Long time to reach a conclusion. I have been an insulin-dependent (type 1) diabetic since age 10 (somewhat, ahem, more than 30 years ago), so I have a tiny appreciation for Tyger's situation.
Again, I wish him the best of luck. Try not to let it wear you down, but don't feel guilty if you feel a wee bit depressed now and then. That's kinda natural in the healing process, especially with something long-term. Even happens to people with broken arms, so...

Sammy,
So many of us out here have been praying for you for some time and now it has come down to a trip the the US. God speed my young friend. I continue now to pray that the medical team can work their miracle with God's help and you can return whole. Keep your chin up, smile and be brave. We're all rootin' for ya.

Hi Sammy,
I want to tell you that my thoughts and prayers are still with you especially as you undertake this new treatment. It is my belief that God loves all of us and listens to all our prayers and answers in His time and in His way and it is my hope that He will answer your way.
It is hard to understand sometimes why these thimgs happen, but someone told me once when I was very low that when we are in trouble or have trials and sickness, but keep on looking to Him, at that time He can rejoice in us and our love.
Keep your chin up my friend.
Prayerfully,
Tom

As you (and "D'"!) know very well, Sammy, there are many (many!) lighthouses in this particular corner of the world. May they (along with their many counterparts all over the world) continue to shine their loving and protective light on you.
Keep on roaring, Tyger, knowing full well that everybody here is roaring for you right behind you.

I don't know you, Tygeer...but over here in Thailand, my boyfriend Man will be out in front of our house at about 6AM tomorrow morning. He'll be offering food to a group of Buddhist monks dressed in saffron orange robes with shaved heads and eyebrows. They will all softly chant a simple prayer in Pali (from ancient India) for the success of the procedure as well as a swift recovery.

This morning, roughly at 7:25am local time (USA Central Standard Time), Tyger and his father borded a plane bound for St. Louis, Missouri, for a connecting flight and from there on to Tacoma, Washington, and then again to Olympia, Washington. I'm not really sure how that works out, but then again, I'm no travel agent. In any case, our little kat is on his way. I would like to thank everyone that has kept him in your thoughts and prayers, whether or not you have posted. His fight is just about to go into the final rounds (we hope), but he still has this next big hurdle to jump (I know, mixing sports analogies like that isn't right, but it made sense when I first wrote it).
I've always had a strong belief that people make the most difference for each other when they reach out to those they don't even know and sometimes may not even like. Such things make for great fiction, but when it happens in reality, like it has here, then it's gold, my brothers. And that gold is each and every one of you.
There are no words that can adequetly sum up my feelings. When I showed this to Sammy before we left for the airport this morning, he hugged me and cried silently. I pass that on to each of you. In Sammy's words, "With all those people behind me there's no way I can fail." My thanks to you all, and a hug from Sammy as well.

I've worked in the medical field for nearly 20 years now, and worked specifically with children and infants during my training all that long ago... It can work and you just need to keep you faith in the healers that (your) Super Special Being (God, Allah, etc.) has provided... Keep the faith D'Artagnon and Tyger... I am...

Hey Sammy - I wrote to you a while back and so this is me writing again to wish you the best. Dude, it sucks to be you right now. I know that. It really does. But ... it will pass.
I have said prayers and asked for good things to ALL THE HIGHER AUTHORITIES I COULD THINK OF!!! HAAAAAA HAAAAAAA!! No really!! I did.
I keep sending positive thoughts out there and .... it's GOT to do some good. By the time you get this the whole bone marrow thing will be over. So... you're on your way to recovery pal. Good.
Okay I don't wanna bore you, just to send my love and best wishes. When I think of how brave you are .... it makes me cry pal. It does.
My best and love,
Tom
p.s. - oh if you are recovering and wanna email me, feel free. I'm in Los Angeles. Oh yeah!! YOU WERE SOO CLOSE TO ME FOR A WHILE THERE!! I knew it because I could feel a disturbance in THE FORCE!! HAAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAA!! Okay, out.

and best wishes. I dont know Sammy but when I read the e-mail from Timmy, my heart went out to him.
Prayer...positive thoughts...really do work. Like someone said above in their post - I dont know how they work or why they work...but I do know that they do.
Sammy, I send a hug and a heartful of good wishes. You're very brave and just know that you have many friends here on Tim's board who love you.
Keep smiling and think happy thoughts.

I've thought alot about this in the last several days. Each time I tried to write something it always came across as sounding curt and heartless so I will not try. I'll just do it.
In some small way I know what it takes to be strong. I've had to be for my own survival and I've seen it in friends for various reasons and circumstances.
Sammy,
You know what strength is as well. It is a thing that comes from within and also is shared with and by friends. Heavy burdons are made lighter by sharing the load. I hope your burdeon is lifted from you.
No young person should be confronted with what you have had to deal with.
I would take your place if I could.
Be strong, be well....
Marc
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Hi Little Tyger
I guess this is for when you get back really. I've been thinking about you all week, and all the previous weeks since we were first asked to think of you and give you the support you need from friends far and wide.
Most of us you will never know, but that doesn't stop us thinking of you, praying for you, and keeping that wish for your recovery in our hearts.
I haven't been able to poet directly before for technical reasons, but now I've got past those I can, so I assure you of my continnued support, thoughts and prayers, and I hope that one day you'll walk tall, straight, and well again.
Love to you always. You matter to us.
