That is the point I am trying to pursue. Art. And the line that appears to exist between art and pornography.

Take a dozen of Otto's paintings and set them out for sale on a street corner anyplace in the USA and I would bet my bottom dollar that you would not last the hour without a ride to the pokey.
Yes, I do vote.... But voting and getting gay rights is about as far apart as the sun and pluto......
Now, if I can have to reasonable expectation of the basic rights that are accorded to heterosexuals... how do you (or any person) expect me to influence the legislature reguarding the production and dispensation of child porn and their viewers?
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I expect each citizen in a democracy to do whatever is reasonable to ensure their views are made known.
MLK had no reasonable expectation of rights for black people, but he chose not to listen to perceived wisdom, and he succeeded.
The views you are expressing appear to be, though may not be, those of judge, jury and executioner, rolled into one. You express the view that a painting by one artist is porn and appear to espouse the view that a statue by another artist is art.
At some point there is a line that is crossed. Where do you perceive the crossing of that line is? Is your definition "any nudity"? If not, what nudity is acceptable? If it is "any nudity", then how is some nudity art and other nudity pornography?
I was in a well respected art gallery in Budapest last summer. There were bronze statues of nude children, prepubescent, male and female, with defined and properly modelled genitalia. Are those art or pornography?

Classical art as you find throughout Europe is accepted as such due to the veneration that is placed on the masters that painted/sculpted them as well as the intrinsic value placed upon them.
I have seen Otto's paintings....
I don't happen to like them.... Just not my cup of tea.... As for whar is acceptable on a personal level.... Well, just look to your own conscience. Would you be so casual about all this if you found a pic of a loved one online prancing around in the alltogether?
My definition of of child porn is entirely irrelevant....
The legislature defines what is appropriate.... Not I.

If I found a picture of a loved one online naked it would deoend entirely on the context. I am not particularly concerned about nudity. I sunbathe naked on nude beaches.
That something is liked or not liked does not render it art or porn.
If you read the definitions from UK law it is not a matter for the legislature, it is a matter for the judiciary and jury where necessary.

That method is great for Where you live....
Here I have to deal with where I live.... Like it or not... I am just one gay man in a place where gay men are not liked.
I participate in gay events and gay public efforts at showing solidarity and presence. I work hard in a business that would cease to exist if my gayness became more of an issue to my customers tham it is to me.
I do however praise the powers that be when they say they will dilligently persue people who use children for profit or sexual gratification. I am more than willing to forsake the so called freedoms to do so.
As for art... The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You have your preferences and I have mine...
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...
