If you would say to a friend, "Man I would fuck her" then I can't see how you could possibly object to Marc's usage. It was in exactly the same vein. He was not using a swear word just for the sake of a swear word -- he meant "fuck" as a crude way of saying "have sex with".
Gratuitous use of the word "fuck" is unnecessary. I don't think anyone is denying that. But "Man I would fuck her" is also rather gratuitous. There are any number of other ways of saying the same thing more politely.
I don't understand your argument.

No I said "I may say to a close friend... " And I mean a close friend
So say what you want
(You know I'm wasting all my time)
You've gotta mean it when you say what you want
(You're only safe when you're alone)
And everybody's on your mind
Saying anything to get you by

I'm not sure what difference it makes. If you'd say it to a close friend, it means you're aware of the word and would use it yourself. Given that, I don't know why you'd object to others using it in front of you. You wouldn't discuss penis length in polite society, either, but it's okay to here because this isn't polite society: there is the assumption that we are all mature enough to cope.

I think I keep little comments like the one that started this to my self, and I too will shut it now.
