I like the poem.

And I am being selfish I have not even asked you how you are doing. How you are feeling of late.

So say what you want
(You know I'm wasting all my time)
You've gotta mean it when you say what you want
(You're only safe when you're alone)
And everybody's on your mind
Saying anything to get you by

Will thanks for your poem. I really like it because there is so much truth in it. Was there any particular reason you wrote it? Over the years I have learnt to listen to my inner voice and it has saved my life on a few occasions, the most notable as I was driving on a country road approaching a bend and the voice said (actually shouted) move left. As I did a truck came around the bend partly on my side of the road. There were many other occasions when it was useful.
I don't ever under estimate the value that voice can be and always take heed of it.
