Dear Jordan,
I have bad news for you. You are YOUNG and will continue to be even after 60 or 600 days. It's me that's old. I had my 74th birthday nine days ago!
But let me congratulate you on your birthday and tell you that one of my sons-in-law has the same birthday as you do, so I'll be celebrating two birthdays on 19th!
And I salute your bravery - and would be very glad to hear how your group is getting on.

we had to cancel for this year due to lack of membership however i do have good news my senior(culminating) project is starting soon and I am donating funds and other assorted goods to an organization called Children of the Night

Here in the UK, 17 is often seen as really significant - it's the age one can get a (car) driving licence!
OK, sex and mopeds are legal at 16, voting and legal adulthood is 18, but there seems to be something about turning up at a mate's place in a car (usually borrowed from parents) that is a very physical manifestation of the change from kid to adult.
To me, "old" is when one stops accepting the challenges of doing things for the first time: when one retreats into a comfortable shell. I know 30-year-olds who are "old" like that - and people in their 70s who are not. Including some here!
Jordan, you've got a lifetime of new stuff ahead of you - enjoy it! And if it sometimes gets a bit scary, you know we're all here to help if we can.

congratulations 17 is a very important time in your life. I get three guesses where you heard about Children of the Night, and the first two dont count. Its a great organization and should be supported. They have rescued 100s of children from the hands of pervs. Your a good man Jordon.
