Anthony, unless people already have their own agenda on homosexuality, I don't think the majority of parents will think of a mixed school just to prevent their son from becoming gay.

However, he could go to a co-ed school and find both a boyfriend and a faghag - viz 'Get Real'.

It was pretty well-thought-of academically, even in my day. But the ethos of the school was very much about teaching boys to think independently, critically, and effectively ... it was kinda assumed that the slog of accumulating facts and the incidental passing exams was a minor (if useful) part of the process.

It's odd: I can't really think of any individual staff members who worked on this basis. The ethos of a School is often very different from the views and desires of its constituent parts!
