Simple seeming question, in some ways.
Perhaps not earth-shattering...
All stypes of answeres encouraged...anthropological, spiritual, genetic, fatastical...whatever strikes your fancy.
This was an idle dinner question with a table of people at a party while I was in Thailand. The table included a missionary couple (Baptish fundamentalists), Buddhists like my gay partner Man, pot-stirrer little ole me, and a colorful assortment of friends.
Best answers may get an advance prview of my chapter of Adam...hehehe

We were all conceived as female and became male in the uterus. The nipple remains, as does the zip fastener under the penis leading towards the anus where the vagina "would have been"

When you cover a man's chest with paint and press him onto a large sheet of paper, he leaves a pretty pattern

And I'm not calling that just because of his childhood games.
I don't know much about transgender issues, but with hormones can a male get "working" mammary glands? I don't understand the biology of it, but I think adoptive mothers can generate milk for babies they did not bear.
Sometimes I'm so ignorant!

Male babies often lactate briefly, possibly becaiuse of all the female hormones flying about. It is unlikley that an adult male can lactate, even after hormone treatment to grow breasts, but I am unsure.
I know that a woman who has not ever goven birth can lacatae and feed a baby.

I remember reading an article a few years ago about a man who wanted to be able to nurse his child. They gave him various drugs and something came out. I'm not sure how much good it did the kid but it made him happy.
