hi tim

i only wanted to know if some sort of editing-option for the posts exists?

and of no, could we have that? so that every member can edit their own posts in case they kinda want to add something shortly after having send the message? other boards have that. it's kinda useful sometimes, you know.

only a question.

love,
brian

We looked at the idea. There was scope to abuse it if we implemented it, so we decided the hassle wasn't worth it.

Yoiu cna make someone look a totla prick by editting a post that has been replied to. It also places a heavier load on the server, and we are pretty near the limit anyway, we think

oh okay. well, you know, i guess everybody here is grown-up enough to not change a post in such a way that the following replies seem totally out of context. and well yes, it does work on other boards, but okay.

and hmm...okay...with that server stuff...that's understandable.

love,
brian

I hate that, but then I don't believe in "deleted items" or the trashcan since I don't delete unless I'm serious and I don't hit post/send until I've proofed (poofed?) my work. Not that I never make a mistake, just hate the "are you REALLY sure" deal.

'Course opinions are like rear-ends, everybody has one!

Where does that image you use in your bookmark and on your stories page come from? You know, that golden boy that sits kinda crouched-up like that...

I've been wondering that for a while now.

The "golden Youth" logo is by a famous German artist called Otolo, who has extensive websites and even books for sale with his paintings, drawings, sculptures, etc. His work is underatandably very expensive.

I believe that he gave permission for this image to be used as one of the logos for a now-extinct webring, and Tim is still using it...it's a real beauty, huh?

I may have the URL around somewhere...worth searching out if you never heard of him before!

you know, WE are all grown up. But we are a small group of the people who may post here in the future. And with matters of censorship on other boards happing as I write, I see every reaosn to believe that underhanded trickery might be manufactured by others in an attmept to score cheap points. So I think better left unimplemented.
