Chris Williamson is one of the foremost lesbian folk singers, has been for years now. I thought this song lyrics might be a sign of positivity and hope for friends and lurkers now especially, who have had to run for cover yet again from the slings and arrows...

'HELP IS ON THE WAY' (from a terrific CD of various gay and lesbian artists called, "A LOve Worth Fighting For: ACelebration of Gay and Lesbian Singers and Songwriters". All the songs on that CD are awesome!

Don't give up the ship
Even when you feel it's sinking
and you don't know what to do.
Don't give up your dream
even though you may be thinking
it never will come true.
Life has it's own ideas of how
things come about.
And if you just hang in there
life is gonna work it out.

Help is on the way
From places you don't know about today.
From friendsyou may not have met yet.
Believe me when I say, I know...help is on the way.

You don't have to know
where the path you're on is leading.
You just have to walk along,
Dreaming as you go,
asking for the things you're needing.
You never can go wrong
If you have faith that things are haappening as they should.
And just believe each step you take is leading
you to something good.

So open your heart
Open your mind
No matter how you've tried and failed.
Tomorrow you could turn and find that door.

Help is on the way
From places you don't know about today
From friends you may not have met yet.
Believe me when I say, a
Help is on the way.

I went to Amazon to see if they had the CD. There is a CD called "Love Worth Fighting For" ~ Various Artists, but no image and no information. All it says is it's from 1996, Streeter Music and costs $15. Would you check and see if it's the right CD?

Thanks ~ smith

Gee, both of the songs you mentioned talk about going away...

How about "Leaving On a Jet Plane"?

For God's sake will the two of you grow up!

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

hehe, that song came on when i was coming back from the store today, and i giggled and thought of "bam" from the boards. and cranked it and sang real loud; windows open despite it being barely 55 degrees today, and rainy.

songs i'm listening to a LOT lately:

"caught in the rain" by revis (off the daredevil soundtrack), which is currently *trying* to be my inspiration for the resolution/reconnection in my story.

pretty much all of the diorama album by silverchair. Smile
