What is the differencs between pink and purple?

This is serious...... Please think before answering.

because pink is pink ( it looks) what we refers to as being pink

Purplpe is purple (is looks) as what we refers to being purple.

The difference? Maybe Purple is really a darker shade of pink?

I don't know. Honey I failed philosophy due to questions like this
