So what's new?
Tel-Aviv has been having a very successful annual Pride Parade for quite some time, with municipality participation, both financial and physical - i.e. mayoral presence. (TA municipality even has a department to cater for GLBT citizens, headed by a lesbian woman.)
The gays of Jerusalem have decided to hold their own Pride Parade for the first time in the holy city (next Friday afternoon). The very powerful ultra-orthodox in Jerusalem are behaving as one would expect: religious bigots are the same all over the world, whatever their religion.
You can read all about it (and please do) at the following link:

Hi Steve!
Long time!
Thanks for that link, and the good news about that parade. Here in "progressive" Hong Kong, they haven't even THOUGHT about having a pride parade. Major bummer...
But they have been having a big Pride celebration in Bangkok for the past few years. Great party! One of man's friends marched in the parade in an orange body stocking with the "vital areas" covered by a skirt made of huge carrots.
And that's the news from the Far East today!

With all those huge carrots, I guess we now know for sure "What's Up, Doc"!
