Sorry, Tim, but this research is neither pure nor unbiased! I'd guess that most adults would choose to maintain the status quo, but would they have felt the same as pre-teen kids suddenly discovering they were different from everyone (or at least it SEEMS like everyone) else? Perhaps not!
I don't see being gay as unnatural, nor as a choice, though I think it's probably more environmental than genetic. But unless you're amazingly lucky it's never a soft option and given the opportunity at the outset I doubt whether many would choose it. That's not the question you asked, but it's the question that needs answering!
On the other hand, if I'd grown up with a best friend like Nigel I'd probably take a different view!

I would certainly not take the pill. Actually I began a fictional story a year ago or so in response to one on the net called "Choice" by J.T. Michcock where a person had the choice to alter his son's DNA so he would not be gay. My story was just the opposite, two men who have the opportunity to create a son who would be gay. Got distracted and never finished the story.

There is an attitude being propigated in our society that 'who we love' can be good or evil. that entire premis is false by it's very nature. If you choose not to submit to this belief, eventually you will learn that choosing to love at all is part of what is best in people. We need to encourage more people to love not to hate, any way they can.
"Be excellent to each other, and, party on dudes"!
