The attached pic has just come my way. It emanates from France, and the title is "Comment empêcher les témoins de Jéhovah de frapper à votre porte?"

or, for those whose French is rusty, "How do you prevent Jehovah's Witnesses knocking at your door?"

Being such a juvenile, I know that that is a screen grab from the film Scary Movie. You really should see it, for some oh so amusing american humour.

Dan.

Yep.........one very healthy door knocker!

And Dan, you're right and it was juvenile
and hysterically funny but do you ever think
anything will beat Animal House? John Belushi...
or the ultimate gross out film, Porkys? Coach
Ballbreaker and the great penis search.

Looks like a rather painful condition to me. In more ways than one. Do you think it would work with Mormons, too? Got lots of those out here in my neck of the woods.

Think good thoughts,

This will NOT keep them from knocking at your door!  [message #2956 is a reply to message #2936] Thu, 06 June 2002 01:22 Go to previous messageGo to next message

In the good old days [when David from HK was an infant Smile] I once kept one engaged in theological conversation for nearly four hours. I would not let her in, but she did stick it out. NOTHING will deter those who are on a religious high and certain that they, and only they, have the secret key to man's ultimate salvation - not even God's own voice from heaven will deter them. (MY will be done, not HIS: what does He know?)
I had one once - no, not a knocker, nor a sack like that ...  [message #2960 is a reply to message #2956] Thu, 06 June 2002 09:07 Go to previous message

... but a young Witness who knew his onions and could debate intelligently. I did invite him in. His Greek was good, and we spent a couple of hours on a bit of Revelation that was crucial to his message. But I just could't read his interpretation into it, and he couldn't read mine. We agreed very amicably to differ, and he left of his own accord. They're not all mindless zealots, even if 99% are.
