This MB has been sooo great lately that I'm now going to be visiting and reading every day that I go on-line. Not that I wasn't already an occasional lurker and poster before, I have been. But everybody here is being so nice, so sensible, even if in disagreement about some things. I need me some of that.

Plus with Charlie here, I'm not the oldest Geezer on the MB, which I really like...I turn 50 in a few weeks...hehe

Let's see...more about me by way of introduction? I'm American, altho living in Asia for more than a decade. My partner is a Thai guy nick-named "Man". He's the cutest guy in the world, and is soon to turn 32. If you don't believe me, ask for pics of us! We've been together almost 10 years.

In real life, I am a psychotherapist, but don't let that bother anybody, please. I'm also an ordained minister who is mostly Buddhist now. But all this might be reason for my eclectic interests, I guess.

I like writing as well as reading, and even have a little something on Tim's website, thanks to a contest he had one time.

Hope everybody is having a good weekend.

Oh, Tim! Almost forgot! I think you should put up a page about Auto-Erotic Axphysiation (sp? ugh...) on your health info section. I'm in favor of warnings and info, as long as there aren't detailed "how-to's" along with it, in this case.

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...
I will post it if it comes from an authoritative source  [message #473 is a reply to message #468] Sun, 20 January 2002 15:08 Go to previous messageGo to next message

David, any warning must also be certain to tell explicitly what it warns against. Thus in some ways it has to be an instruction manual. Yet it also has to be factual and frightening. And presence of a partner to loosen the ligature is no guarantee of living.

Can you draw on your professional sources, please and work with me on this?
I'll work on it and get back to you...  [message #474 is a reply to message #473] Sun, 20 January 2002 15:34 Go to previous messageGo to next message

David is also the author of a very interesting story that is dealing with the issues in adult youth relationships. So far it looks to me to be one of the most balanced treatments I have seen. It is also well written and entertaining which is nice.

It's Larry's Love in the adult youth section of Nifty
