... for newcomers to introduce themselves, perhaps I'd better explain briefly who this particular creature is who's recently crawled out of the woodwork.

Older, I think, than any of you geezers who've yet declared your ages. Yes, 63 years young. An academic all my working life, first at Cambridge and then at a redbrick university that had better remain nameless. Took (slightly) early retirement last summer, praise be, which at last provided a bit of spare time. Inspired (by Tim's example: who else?) to try my hand at writing and, when I tremblingly offered the firstfruits to Tim for criticism, given instant hosting on this site, bless him. Hence lured onto this board.

Orientation? I don't know. Interested in boys in my youth, but no practical experience. Long since happily married and still faithful, with two super kids. But still lingeringly curious about boy love. Not for me - I know I'm long past my sell-by date, even if I wanted it, which I don't. But curious enough to write about it and to post silly questions on this board.

You do get some odd specimens, don't you?

Hugs

Mihangel

I love it when I'm not the oldest guy in the room! Yay!

And you don't think you have a corner on all the correct answers to our silly questions! I love that!

Plus your writing is good. What more could we ask for?!

I am crushed that I can no longer be considered the oldest here, hehe. Take that David, lol.

I like it when we know some background on where the various opinions we see here come from (please ignore the grammar). It gives more depth to the meaning of what is said, or not said.

Besides, it is nice to know more than a screen name about your friends, and each and every one of you I consider a friend.

Hugs to all, Charlie

... that's why you're the one who can speak with the greatest authority here (except maybe about parenting, as in the messages above!) and tell us romantic old fogeys when we're talking bollocks. Please do.

Your message made me laugh louder than I've done for weeks. Sweet, indeed. D'you mean you are, or we are?

To expand, by the way, on my self-introduction above. Another reason why I'm now bursting so rudely onto this board is that before Christmas I had major spinal surgery, which has gone very well. But I was forbidden to sit down for 6 weeks, and as anyone knows who's tried it, working a computer when standing or kneeling is distinctly limiting. But my purgatory is now over, and my bum is my own again. As a deplorable woman (who I hope I resemble in no way) once said, rejoice!
sweet...umm...me of course *g*  [message #519 is a reply to message #517] Mon, 21 January 2002 19:39 Go to previous messageGo to next message

nah...hehe...i doubt i meant it like that, but then...hehe...why not? but then...i very much like men, so you are sweet too *blush*

actually yes...i would have loved to join in in the discussion about that incest/marriage thing...i have written...am still writing a so-called boylove story dealing with the sexual relationship between a father and his 13 year old son, but then...i would have been thrown out of that discussion i guess cause well..i really don't know how it is to be a parent...

not being able to sit must suck...but then (used four times in this message now, i think)...there are so many more things you can do when you are lying down *blush* uuuuh Smile

love,

brian

I am not sure that you are the youngest looking at the poll results. But your voice, and feelings, count here just as much, if not more, as the rest.

A big hug to you, Charlie
