Complex, is it not?
If I appeal I cannot worsen the penalty. If I do not appeal then I am seen to accept it.

It was at the expense of Tim's place of employment.
And the cost in heartache and enxiety to Tim for some assholes misguided opinions were immesurable.
I hope that your employers begin to see that you not only voiced your opinion but also moved to protect those present that might be offended by the miscreant's untoward remarks.
Rest assured in the knowledge that at least there is satisfaction in the addage, "what goes around, comes around".

I'm sorry i haven't kept up with your misfortune and have just gone back over the mails to appraise my self. It's hard to find words for such people but we all know they exist. I'm sorry you had to come up against one in such circumstances and I am proud that you made your stance - as someone has already said, for all of us. Best of luck with the appeal.
A big smith {{{hug}}}. I wish it could be real. Mike
