A major update to Superdrewby's age of consent chart that I use on my resources pages. Hard work, but much updated

can you guys check the age where YOU are and let me know i fI have it right? Find the chart by entering "Age of Consent" in the site search engine.

If gay is illegal where you are is it just m/m or f/f as well?

...There's a sort of catch. The age of consent in Finland is 16 UNLESS the younger person is dependant (money, housing etc.) on the older one or the older person is a teacher (or something similar) of the younger one in which case the age of consent is 18 (for M/F, M/M and F/F).

But don't know if it's really relevant...

Though, I also found the following on Victorian Law (taken from http://www.minus18.org home to an underage gay club in Vic). I can't find anything similar for other states, but oh well:

Victorian law is the same for relationships between people of the same sex and relationships between people of the opposite sex. there are age limits on when you are allowed to have sex.

If you are aged:

UNDER 10:
No one is allowed to have sex with you (even if you agree).

BETWEEN 10 and 16:
A person is not allowed to have sex with you if they are more than two years older than you (even if you agree).

AGED 16 or 17:
A person is not allowed to have sex with you if you are under their care, supervision or authority, e.g. teacher, youth worker (even if you agree).

Subject to the age limits, the law says that two people are not allowed to have sex unless they both agree.
...I forgot to mention  [message #7189 is a reply to message #7188] Fri, 17 January 2003 23:49 Go to previous messageGo to next message
