Today Ashley returns to school after a break to get fit and well. He's going to graduate when once he was afraid he was not.

New school, new city, new state, new people. All challenging and all potentially wonderful.

I want to wish you NOT luck, but sufficent self possession to walk tall and proud, and to be Ashley.

You never needed luck, Ashley. You simply needed love and faith in yourself and your abilities. I see you surrounded by love and learning that you are worth respecting.

Hugs you tight, kisses your cheek and sends you to school happy.

Hey Mate.

I thought you had a few more weeks before you started. I would have said something when we chatted, but you know I was doing something important at the time. (And THANK YOU again for giving me that time)

You'll do great, and looks like everyone including me is proud of you.

people change their mind. And quite often they have very good reasons for doing so. I spoke with Ashley today and I think that he has changed his mind about school. His reason for changing his mind sounds exciting, and I hope the opportunity materializes for him because it would be, for him, really something! So, let's hold back with the congrats until we know what we are congratulating for Smile But, Ashley, you know that whatever you final choice will be - you can do it!

You're a good-hearted and kind young man, one of the kindest I've ever met actually. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you the very best in your endeavours. Just make sure you DO seize the day, don't let it go to waste okay? Smile

You're in a lucky position, mate. You have choices. Exercise them well and with real decision. Never be afraid to change your mind and always have a reason to do so

Say, do they allow Roo entourages in school down in OZ? I suppose they must...

Well, my Australian mate, all you need to do is be yourself. That's all. You've already proven yourself to be an extremely talented and intellegent young man with quite a personality to boot. If you be yourself, you'll be destined for greatness. You've proven it to us already.

Oh yeah, and you and the Roos might get hungry in school, I suppose, so I made up some good old-fashioned brown paper bag lunches for you and the troops! I do hope you like tuna salad...what kind of cookies should I pack with each sandwich? Smile

Ashley, you're going to do wonderful, man. I just know it.

You are going to school, or you aren't going to school? And are the Roos going with you? Whichever it is, I'll be thinking lots of good thoughts for you (confused though they may be). I'm also certain you'll make the right choice and come out on top. Wink

Think good thoughts,

Just adding my support - belatedly, I guess, but still sent with huge hugs. If you take the Roos, please feed them - you know I can't afford to anymore! Wishing you the very best of everything.

God bless you

As is so often the case here, Ashley, it is those of your generation who speak volumes with just a few words.

I echo the sentiments of everybody who has already posted to this thread; and while that does include Timmy (its "Creator"!), I'd still like to wish you the best of luck anyway!

Oh, and whether they are "allowed" or not it no matter; from what I know of the Roos, they are not to be denied!

{{{HUGS}}} Ashley! I would say, "Make us proud", but I know you will (since you already do)!

Thanx to Tim and all the others that wished me well. I decided at the 11th hour to chnage horses. Where I have been working offered me a traineeship and I took it.. Sad I hope you all are NOT disappointed but I decided it was a better deal than going to school and MAYBE not doing so well and YES I did seize the day Smile

Thanx again to ALL of you Smile

Would it be too much to ask in what business you've so bravely cast yourself into? Smile

Good luck with the traineeship Ashley, and don't feel bad about choosing work. School will always be there for you later you know!

Someone has now voted with an offer of employment to add to the words that I have said to you all the tme we have known each other.

They are betting on you. It's a bet, not a sure fire racing certainty, but they trust their judgement and they trust your abilities.

Never again say, even to yourself, "I am of little worth", for it never was true, and never can be imagined to be true again.

This has more value than school. Heck you can study at night school if you ever need the piece of paper. This takes you, Ashley, and lets you move forward with pride at having shown your potential.

Moving home was the best decision you made. You are reinventing yourself as the man you were always going to be.

I am proud of you
