GIVE PEACE A CHANCE laudable words good sentiment, however it would seem that a very basic part of human nature is being overlooked and that is that is easy to forget. To forget the horror of the nazi concentration camps, the two atom bombed cities where some 150000 lives were snuffed in the blink of an eye. When Christ directed us to pick up our cross,He ment those words. Of course we now live in the 21st century where it is politically correct to wank on the toilet and flee or disregard our human responsibilities to each other. Ol honest abe Lincoln got it right when he held this great nation togeather despite all odds and his many critics. How richly deserving of our contempt are those scum that bathe in the comfort and safty of their homes and shout-give peace a chance--I say lets ship these peace-mongers off to Iraq and let those natives come over here and take the places of these buttheads...robert bryce

Hitler was never confronted. Saddam is and has been contained. He really is little to no threat and a war seems totally unnecessary. He has obviously not complied with all the requirements, but are his violations enough to justify tens of thousnads of deaths? His life can be made more miserable without a war. The last "war" proved that Saddam had nothing for us to be afraid of. What's changed?

There are others who do have weapons of mass destruction. Some are even more likely to use them than Saddam. So why don't we bomb them back to the stone age? Why do we allow a country like N Korea to have nukes capable of reaching the US West coast and do nothing about it? Three little letters, O-I-L. Iraq has it, the US wants it. Why do you think France, Germany, and Russia have been the countries most opposed to invading Iraq? It is because those countries have contracts with the Iraqi government (Saddam) to develop Iraqi oil fields once the UN embargo is lifted. The US has no such contracts. If we go to war with Iraq the result will be a government that is friendly towards the US. The US will be the country that gets to develop the oil fields and France, Germany, and Russia won't.

All anyone has to do is take a look at the stakes and the players to see what this war will be about. From my point of view, I'd just like to see them admit it. Why not just be honest and up front about it? Then see how many Americans are still willing to back a war. I suppose it's because there just aren't enough who would. It's much easier to focus on religion and patriotism when trying to rally the people. Wave the flag and praise God, then launch another crusade.

Saddam can be confronted, boldy and fearlessly, without dropping bombs on the heads of the Iraqi people. Not that it couldn't come to that, but I've seen nothing that justifies war at this point.

Think good thoughts,

Then why do you insist on yelling just about everything you say?

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...
