Not globally, but to the guy I sent "The Misfit" to. We had started talking about writing, and I mentioned I had more stories. He asked to see them. So, I took my heart in my hands, and first checked Google to see if "The Misfit" could be found.
Since it could, I suggested he read my website.
I got a phone call 30 minutes later, saying "Wow, I never suspected and Wow!" A hugely supportive reaction from a really nice guy.
He told me something perosnal about himself too. Not that I will repeat it here, but please, quietly, in your own fashion, offer a prayer to the god or whomsoever or whatever you believe in for a great and private loss.

Question-----"How many xxx(ethnicity of your choice here) mothers does it take to change a light-bulb?"
Answer----"Oh, never mind...I'll just sit here all alone in the dark..."
Sheesh!

...But I could not think of anything appropriate at that moment.
Then I thought I'd better read the story so I knew what it was about, so I did. And when I had done that, the whole thing must have slipped my mind (that happens with me).
Sorry again, I thought it was a brave move. And I liked your work too.
