Eighteen people dead in a German school. One policeman, fourteen teachers, three students. One of them being the gunman, who shot himself with a pistol.
His motive; revenge apparantly.
Why do these things happen? News papers have noted the young man played violent computer games and watched violent movies. One of them seems to have been that infamous school-shooting movie that alledgedly inspired a similar incident in the US, I can't remember the name of it.
Is there a connection there, games and movies makes people go crazy and start killing people? No, of course not.
The real reason is, that WE DON'T CARE ANYMORE.
We don't care about our children. We don't make sure they're safe, we don't take action when they suffer, we don't give them enough love or attention. We don't help them when things go badly for them in school or otherwise. There's not enough time, not enough money, not enough energy for that.
So because we're unwilling to pay the required amount, we pay the price in ruined lives and dead people instead.
And some people thinks there's nothing wrong with our capitalist society... Jesus christ.
