For a very limited time Sony Online Entertainment is making available a downloadable installer of their popular "on-line" Playstation Game "EverQuest Classic". This file once unpacked is suitable for either burning a mirror of the production CD-ROM, or installing directly from the hard-drive.

A word of caution: This self-executing archive is 450 Mb, or thereabouts, in size, so a 56K (using a Download Manager, such as GetRight, is a must, as it took me just a little under 15-hours to download it using my dial-up, this with pausing it half-a-dozen times over the course of three-days) or higher connection is recommended, with a Broadband most certainly preferable.

The URL to download the programme is found here:

ftp://eqftp.station.sony.com/eqfull.exe

The application incorporates a multi-language UI, with the language toggled by changing the value of the [Language] Label in the "eqfecfg.cfg" file (1=English, 2=French, others I'm not sure of but trial and error should produce the relevant result eventually), although the Windows "default" selected at the initial startup.

Any of this board's members, wanting the game, but unable for whatever reason to download it, may send me an e-Mail and I'll burn a disk and mail it to them.
