A Place of Safety
I expect simple behaviours here. Friendship, and love.
Any advice should be from the perspective of the person asking, not the person giving!
We have had to make new membership moderated to combat the huge number of spammers who register

Be sure to check the What’s New page for the latest stories and member web site updates.

More changes and improvements are underway at the GWG.

As all of you know, the GWG Awards program is under way. If you know of a story or a web site that deserves an award, go to the main page of the GWG and click the Awards banner on the lower left side of the page. The cut off date for awards submissions is August 1st. The award winners will be announced on September 21st. There will be quarterly awards with an annual award chosen from the quarterly winners.

ListBot is ceasing their free mailing list service as of August. Since the GWG has been using their service we had to look for an alternative. What we came up with is a Newsletter option. Those of you that were subscribed to the ListBot list have been automatically subscribed to the new Newsletter. If you would like to subscribe, there is an email link in the marquee on the GWG main page.

In the past we posted site updates to the Yahoo Groups list. That will cease from now on. The Yahoo Groups list will now be used for story discussions, writing tips and help for authors. All are encouraged to join the list and participate. Three GWG members have volunteered to facilitate this forum, thanks go to Joseph Men, Omnicrontheta and Archer. To subscribe to this forum, go to the lower part of the main page where you will see the Yahoo Groups link.

Another reminder about the GWG conference in Montreal to be held August 2, 2001.
