It doesn't rain much out here in the desert, but boy when it does, watch out. The last few days we've had heavy rains and high winds and what's worse is that it isn't over. An even bigger storm is due to hit tonight or tomorrow. My house was without power for nearly 24 hours yesterday and today. Half the shingles from the southside of my roof are now in my front yard, one of my garage doors is broken in half and the other one is off the hinges. The stuff we had stored in the garage is everywhere. Looks like I've got water damage in the house as well. I played hooky from work today to try and fix up the roof and the garage doors, but I think I'm just wasting my time. The insurance company is in no hurry to get it fixed. Too bad. If someone could have come out today, they may have saved thousands more by preventing further damage. Oh well. I'm just hoping that the electricity will stay on. Without it the furnace doesn't work. It was down to freezing last night outside. In the house this morning it was 46 degrees.

I may not be online much for a few days. We may go stay with my brother in law for a while. It's tough getting online now anyways. My computer has died and I have to use my wife's. I have to sneak my way onto the site so I haven't been getting as much time to hang out here as I'd like. She keeps looking over my shoulder to see what I'm doing so I'm only coming to the board when she's not around. I hope everyone is doing ok.

Think good thoughts,
e
