Odd, really. I tend to think of them as tanned looking!
I get in other places so many questions about this that I grabbed a page from elsewhere and added it to the resources section. Mind you, if you put "penis size" into the site search engine you will find it too.

it's interesting that the percentages for measurements in multiples of a quarter of an inch (5.75, 6.25, 6.75 and 7.25) are smaller than the values on either side for multiples of half an inch (5.5, 6, 6.5, 7 and 7.5). This suggests that a lot of men have rounded to the nearest half inch.
Presumably the subjects undertook their own measurements? One wonders whether there might have been a greater tendency to round up rather than round down?
