Andy

You must forgive me, and quite possibly others too, here at "A Place of Safety" for probably having missed Timmy's *posting* to the Poetry Corner your first submission.

I, not especially a poetry aficiando, wouldn't normally have been looking ther in the first place; any more than I would be found perusing Haiku Alley.

I can't honestly say I've actually looked at the former since many months past when Timmy hosted a friend's "crie de coeur"; nor the latter since submitting (and it's having been accepted) my one and only effort for the cause.

I like your piece, finding that I do more often prefer "free-verse" as opposed to "rhyme". The subject matter does give one pause for thought. I'm especially glad too that your firend prevailed in his intent, and that you ultimately have found your way to us here. It's my sincerest wish that you too will, as so many others have been able to, call this your home.

What about your friend? It he going to join you here as well?

It was only then that I actually went to look. My friend probably wont join me Sad His mothers a witch and wont let him on the internet. So sad... I don't know what I would do without the internet.. ... thank "Timmy", and "MegaMan", and Timmy's Web-host; without all of whom this Message Board, or entire Web-site for that matter, would not have been possible.

It is solely through their purpose, and sense of commitment, that (and I loosely quote myself here) "A Place of Safety is a welcoming haven to its' many denizens, some visible, but the greater majority not; and that for it's ability to shelter all who pause here, I too, am eternally grateful".

It is expressive, emotional, and displays a wonderful use of imagery. Even though it doesn't rhyme or use a particular metre, it flows in a nice rhythmn. Isn't it wonderful that poetry can take some of our darker moments and make them beautiful.

Think good thoughts,
e

Webmaster would be an understatement considering all the database and voting jazz he's implemented! Unfortunately, he fixes up this here sitting room for us but doesn't join us for tea and conversation. So, write him your thanks - link at bottom of page if I recall.
