Well, as soon as I give notice and do a few months of prep work and such...but I have decided to go back home to Thailand.

In honor of that, here's a recent funny sent me by a friend. Some of these "sniglets" as termed by (Saturday Night Live)aren't new, but I like them anyhow.

So which ones are your favorites, guys?

The Washington Post publishes a yearly contest in which readers are asked to supply alternate meanings for various words. Some recent winning entries:

1. Coffee (n.), a person who is coughed upon.

2. Flabbergasted (adj.), appalled over how much weight you have gained.

3. Abdicate (v.), to give up all hope of ever having a flat stomach.

4. Esplanade (v.), to attempt an explanation while drunk.

5. Willy-nilly (adj.), impotent

6. Negligent (adj.), describes a condition in which you absentmindedly answer the door in your nightie.

7. Lymph (v.), to walk with a lisp.

8. Gargoyle (n.), an olive-flavoured mouthwash.

9. Flatulence (n.) the emergency vehicle that picks you up after you are run over by a steamroller.

10. Balderdash (n.), a rapidly receding hairline.

11. Testicle (n.), a humorous question on an exam.

12. Rectitude (n.), the formal, dignified demeanor assumed by a
proctologist immediately before he examines you.

13. Oyster (n.), a person who sprinkles his conversation with Yiddish expressions.

14. Circumvent (n.), the opening in the front of boxer shorts.

15. Frisbeetarianism (n.), The belief that, when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck there.

16. Pokemon (n), A Jamaican proctologist.

I confess my personal favorite is #15, especially after all this talk about fanatical religions...hehehe

Tomorrow night the group of people that I want to work with will discuss my joining them. More than 75% chance of them saying "OK", but I can't really think about leaving here until I have that piece of details all set...

Wish me luck, please guys and keep fingers and toes crossed, and send good thoughts and energy in this direction...Man and I are depending on it!

Thanks!!

...as always. David, I'm sure this is going to work out. I just have such a good feeling about it. You and Man were meant to be together, and that you shall be. Since it is truly meant to be, it will totally work out. Not to worry. And of course, we're all behind you on this one, always and forever. Smile

Oh yes! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, David - and finding it very difficult to type with my fingers crossed Smile I hope and pray that everything will work out for you as you desire. I wish you all the luck in the world.

When you two have each other, then who needs a lot of "legal tender" (in whatever form that may come)?

It's a big step, to be sure; but not only do you two deserve it, it's also a given that you'll make it work with no problem.

Big hugs to you both! Keep us posted!

Sorry about the test, there, but posts were blocked or rejected or something twice in the past couple days, so wanted to be sure...

I have passed the initial hurdle, and now have to be interviewed face to face by the group i want to join. I have to fly to Thailand to do that, maybe this week-end, maybe next, not sure yet. I hope it's a casual interview, as I already know 2 of the 5 people very well, and am not expecting any problems.

But it ain't 100% sure until after that...so more good thoughts and energy, please!! Man and I want this soooo badly...

More news when I have it...

Thanks again, everybody for your care and concern!

And we all know how much you hate the idea of flying to Thailand >>haha<<

I wish you perfect success and will keep on crossing my fingers, toes and eyes that you get exactly what you want. Life's too short not to do what you want, be with who you want.

{{{HUGS}}} to you&Man Smile
