OK, I said I wouldn't be the first. I also said I would add to anyone else's birthday wish.

Happy Birthday smith

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{smith}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Just a subtle wish, that.

What do I wish you?
  • the courage to be smith
  • the love of all who surround you
  • good friends who stand by you for life as you stand by them
  • the knowledge in time about who you are
  • the peace of mind to process and handle that knowledge
  • childhood, for as long as it will last for you
  • the love of a partner, be they male or female, for all of your days
  • the certainty that you have made and continue to make a difference
  • so much more........

Most kids want to stay young forever, but for some reason, I have a feeling smith was REALLY looking forward to becoming a year older. Smile

smith, here's a little advice from an old fogey (hehehe! Smile) who justed turned 17...enjoy 16 while you can!! 16 so far has been the greatest year yet, I had so much fun. So, get the best out of this year, because it's truly the best. And my friends and I are complaining now that we're turning 17. Going from 16 to 17 seems like such a BIG jump. I feel so much older, it's weird. So, enjoy this 16th year of your life, kiddo. Smile

Happy 16th, Muffin. HUGE smith-style hugs and a BIG fat kiss. Smile

First of all: thanks, Steve, for letting this particular cat out the bag (and you, too, Timmy, for making me aware of it)!

Among the many special things that make smith "smith" (but which I don't think is widely known here) is his "eye" for artistic beauty, be it in painting, in music, or in nature.

To give just one example: I recently sent smith a JPEG of Vincent van Gogh's "The Ravine", a painting I've seen "live" many times on my just about annual visits to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. Wouldn't you know it: just by looking at that JPEG on his computer screen, he spotted a detail in the painting which had completely escaped my attention even after viewing the real thing all those times.

smith, we raise our glasses of Dr. Pepper and root beer to you on this your very special day, with the wish that today (and all the many thousands upon thousands of days still to come) be filled with all the many beautiful things this world has to offer.

Happy birthday. I knew it had to be getting close because you've been 15 ever since I got here and that was nearly a year ago. I hope you had a good one and didn't get too carried away (a little carried away is fine, though).

Think good thoughts,

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. I can't tell you what I wished for when I blew out the candles ::blush:: but maybe one day it will happen.
I got good stuff, a new skateboard from my sis, a new DVD player, $$$$$ Smile, and keys. Yep, haha, just keys, but if I'm really really good and save up half, maybe by fall I'll have an ignition to put them in.
My birthday party was great; I think even the cows were rockin'. Happy and dancin'.......that's what life's all about!!

You're a special kid, smith. And above all, you're incredibly smart. You have already realized and understood more things that some people understand in a lifetime. Sure, maybe there are more things to learn, but you've given yourself quite a tremendous start.

Keep in touch, Muffin, mmmkay? Smile
