Let us simply pray for those who are to lose their lives. Let us now not criticise the warmakers, but simply help those who are afraid here.

The decision is long past. Our role now is to deal with the aftermath, please. So no wars here, not even if someone comes here witha stream of invective and appears to show hate in his or her horror of whatis taking place or in support.

One of us who has read, but not posted, serves in the submarine service of the US Navy. Think of him, too. He is "somewhere" at present. Possibly in the med.

I don't pray. Ever. But I wish for my friends - one from here who will be involved not by choice but by fate, and one in the US Army from Comicality's Library and ordered there - to come through this safe and sound.

I hope they will be alright, for I would be so sad to lose either of them.

The general population of IRAQ. So long have the felt the boot of a dictator and now there will be fighting?? and loss of lives and those ordinary ppl will pay. I dont think Mr Hussein will just up and leave. I pray that this is over swiftly.

Someone close to me is also near the hot spot. Soon I hope he will be back.

Think good thoughts,

I pray for the safe return of all soldiers involved, and the safety of the people of Iraq (minus a few selected individuals).

I have removed one entire thread today because it quite simply created a row.

I do not care whether you are for or againstthe war, or now about any part of it except minimising casualties, and praying for those on both (all?) sides.

Sabre rattling will go, and so will anti war "militant pacifism. I will not care who has posted, nor who has replied, nor will I care how logical the arguments are or how heated.

This place needs to be safe from all warlike and divisive issues. So, for once, I will moderate such threads strongly
