I have unimpeachable evidence that it is not just reserved for lesbians.
Serve and volley.
A few drop shots. Some nasty lobs. A passing shot.
But why?
Oh yes. The tennis court seems to be here. This messageboard.
I just want to remind us all. A converstion is more than waiting for our turn to speak, more than trying to win th epoint. It is an expression of friendship and trust.
I don't come here to play tennis.

Golf is more boring, though. But the weaponry in a golf bag is larger and harder

Andy
What "Timmy" is alluding to using the analogy of a Tennis-game is the in-fighting and otherwise that has again recently broken out at the Board.
He might, in addition to his second gambit, have used "Fencing" where each opponents each thrust and parries the others actions; much like the "war of words" that have been going on here.
