Marc, this is addressed to you personally and in public.

You are causing a major disturbance. You are acting like a petulant child. You are creating dissent where there was none, and are doing it for whatever your reasons are. It may be that this is the "real you", but I doubt it.

I do not understand your reasons, nor what is in your mind. Frankly at present I have no wish to. My wish is a simple one. That you pause from your inflammatory comments, reflect on the nature of this place and the incalculable harm you are doing to it.

I am specifically not saying that you are unwelcome. Instead I am telling you clearly, unequivocally, and in public that your behaviour is unwlecome.

There will be no discussion on this issue. Sufficient insulting verbiage has come from you over the past couple of days for all of us to see and recoil from. I am leaving this set of extraordinary dialogue for all to see. Future insults, innuendo, vitriol and other npleasant remarks will be deleted without warning and without apology.

You may continue to be here and post in a civilised manner at all times. The rest will not be tolerated.

Others may read this as a warning shot if they, too, stoop to such behaviour.

So I shall do as you wish.

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

My wish remains as it always has been. To make and keep a place where all may feel welcome, be welcome and be safe. A place where converstaions may be civilised, without any bar to age, gender or orientation, though primarily for those who are not heterosexual. And for it to be a place where a different opinion may be expressed and discussed.

There is a fine line between a discussion and a fight (which some would call a debate). My wish is that we remain always on the side where discusson lives, and do not cross to debate.

Then look at my origional question...

It was totally valid...

Yet torn to shreads...

Paraphraising your message atop the MB.... Ask anything nicely...

I thought I did... It was asked in all seriousness and I thought tactfully...

Wrong again... Ahhhhhh

I did already, and have done several times since this started. There was nothing wrong with the original question. It was valid and well expressed. It is how the thread degraded that became a matter of deep concern. It is worth sitting quietly and analysing it unemotionally to determine where it went wrong and what went wrong.

I do not propose that is done in public, nor even as a discussion. I think it is better reflected on in peace and quiet.

Now, if you will excuse me, I must concentrate on trying to win a new job. I have a serious business plan to write for a meeting tomorrow.
