Two people fought like tigers.

Two people all but fell out terminally.

Each had his own reasons for behaving as he did towards the other, and those reasons are not relevant, nor even important to the rest of us. We will never know the reasons unless they choose to make them public. And frankly they really do not matter.

Those two people are now set to be friends. They may never agree on matters of politics, and may be deeply divided on other matters. But they are set to become friends.

That is, in part, what this place is about. And it is the people here who create this and make it happen

What was really happening here was that I was stroking my own ego.Because of my loss of short term memory,I had forgotten The story of this brave mans suffering and his success at rising above that injury.I was to blind and full of myself to recognise this mans courage.Well guys if I have to eat humble pie and tuck my pride where the sun dont shine then so be it.I just wish I had this MANS guts and courage. rob

Rob, I hope we eventually get to know you as well as we know Ashley. Knowing him and being able to call him "friend" is truly an honor for me, especially since he knows some of my faults. To me, the most amazing thing is all he consistently does for others out of the kindness of his heart.

I have an incredibly crappy memory too, Rob - and no excuse for it!

I am pleased and proud at your honesty and efforts to make amends. Consider that a small stroke. If you are a very good boy maybe more stroking is in order. Errm . . .

Your heart and appreciation for this board and timmy were certainly in the right place.
