My wife and I went house hunting yesterday and found a pleasant little cottage in Pasadena. It's just a couple of miles from the school I will be attending and the freeway is easily accessible for her to get to work. The rent is reasonable and includes water, gas, electric, and trash. We would only have to pay for the phone and cable or satellite tv. We take possession on the 20th but have through the first week of May to move out of the old place. I may not be online as much during that time, but will try to check in.

I'm both excited and depressed. First, I have always hated moving. It is such a hassle. Second we don't get to keep our dog. There is no yard for her and she is just not an indoor animal. We're trying to convince my brother-in-law to take her. But we are both looking forward to a new start and I can't wait to start school.

Think good thoughts,
e

I wish you and your family every success from this move. I am curious: You say that you will have to pay for trash; how much does trash cost in USA? Very Happy

I guess I should have said trash removal. Wink Don't know about elsewhere, but where I live it is currently $18 per month.

But think of it as an adventure with just a lot of lifting.

School is very kewel.... And cooking school is the best kind because you get to eat your homework. It will be great fun!!!

If you need any recipes or want to borrow any cookbooks let me know (we have over 500).

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Thanks for the offer. I may just make a request or two. I can usually find what I'm looking for on the internet, but not always. I have a nice little collection of cookbooks, but nowhere near 500. Perhaps 50 or so.

It's not the adventure that I mind, it's the lifting part.

find a few brawney hunks willing to do the bending and sweating for a few $$$....

Makes moving an entirely enjoyable experience....

As for cook books.... I have several from the turn of the century.... Lots of good old fashioned recipes....

I even have a recipe for snipe.... LOL
