As a resource for the Gay Writers Guild and of a matter of great personal interest I am endeavoring to compile as complete a collection of gay, gay genre, and movies of choice to gay watchers. I feel that it is important to not only remember these works but to try to preserve them. Therefore we are going to eventually begin to search out and physically archive these films.
Our list will include the origional title in its origional language (if at all possible), Its Director, Writer's, and cast. All this will link to a database of information about their lifes work in a chronological order. Naturally all this will be crossed referenced for easy access.
So, as you can imagine, this will take some time to complete and I need as much help as possible.
Please continue to search out those old obscure films and documentaries.
No reference will go unnoticed, that much I promise.
But I do ask that when you add information to a post you include in the "TOPIC" the words "MOVIE LIST". I will then pay special attention to transfer the information to the list of films to research.
Your efforts are appreciated and I wholeheartedly thank all the referals I have recieved to date.
So Keep looking, these works are a huge part of our heritage and if nothing is done to preserve it, eventually it will all become lost to obscurity.
Again thanks...
Marc
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I am thinking of the UK comedy programmes "Round the Horne" and "Beyond our Ken" which featured explicitly gay characters "Julian and Sandy" in the early 1960s, talking in Polari, the semi secret language of at least the London gay scene then. http://www.johnbarber.com/rth.html also http://www.whirligig-tv.co.uk/radio/ and look at the index
Also I am thinking of the radio soap "Mrs Dale's Diary" where Sally (Mrs Dale's sister) had her husband come out as preferring men. Again we are talking 1960s here. It was a major milestone, and went almost unnoticed http://www.whirligig-tv.co.uk/radio/mrsdalesdiary.htm refers

I will check out the URL....
I wouldn't want to infringe on any rights of copyright.
But if they are in the publick domain then I guess it would be all right.

I saw this one on Cable and it was called "Bruno" but when I just looked it up they called it "Dress Code".
