A poem by 11 year old Mattie J.T. Stepanek. It is amazing how somebody who has a terminal disease can still find the good things in life. I have not live long and still can not find the true meaning of life. Just take a second to read this and think about life.
For Our World
We need to stop, just stop
Stop for a moment
Before anybody says or does anything
That may hurt anyone else
We need to be silent, just silent
Silent for a moment
Before we forever lose the blessings of songs
That grow in our hearts
We need to notice, just notice
Notice for a moment
Before the future slips away
Into ashes and dust of humility
Stop, be silent, and notice
In so many ways we are the same
Our differences are unique treasures
We have, we are, a mosaic of gifts
To nuture, to offer, to accept
We need to be, just be
Be for a moment
Kind and gentle, innocent and trusting
Like children and lambs
Never judging or vengeful
Like the judging and the vengeful
And now let us pray
Differently, yet together
Before there is no Earth, no life
No chance for peace
Peace for our world...our world
An article i read about him:

I forgot to say that there are so many things that we take for granted like going thru everyday life when this boys has to fight for his life every single day. He has seen more in life that i have ever done over my entire life.
Doesn't this inspires you to live life to the fullest everyday because there are other poeple out there that are living worst life then us?

I saved it and brought it home just so I could write about it here. Every day they ask three people a question about some article they've had in that issue.
Question: Are you scared of growing old?
Answer (Rikard Malm, student, 15): "No, it could be a cool, positive thing to grow old, you'll know a lot, you can talk all day about everything."
One can't fault that attitude I say.
