But, bummer...the Thai Immigration authorities are now requiring a health certificate from everybody arriving from SARS affected areas...and re-checks by doctors on the second, fifth, and 8th days after arrival...

Well, maybe they will have liffted the Travellor's Advisory from Hong Kong by then...

The SARS situation is improving weekly here, altho the news is still bad for all those unfortunate folks in mainland China...

Or should I subtract the 5 days I will spend there the first week in June bringing some stuff in advance and scoping out some new apartments with Man?

I go the evening of June 3 after work and come back on Sunday the 8th...

Things are getting petty exciting. I've started sorting stuff and giving things away.

One thing I've noticed...I have lots of trouble getting rid of books...some even tho I know I probably won't read them again. They seem like old friends...and I already tried telling myself that if I ever want to read them again, I can usually just buy a new one...hmmm...

I'm a bit confuzzled about that. Or maybe just a pack-rat?

...to me anyway Smile And I know exactly what you mean, I don't throw much of anything away. I still have some pop quizzes (spl?) from like the 3rd grade, or something Smile But if you decide to part with your books, make sure they get a good home where they'll be loved and cared for Wink Or you could give them to a library...

PS. The 5 days depends on what you're counting. If counting days "without" Man, then subtract them, if counting days till moving to Thailand, then don't subtract them, since they too need to pass before the move...

But I think I'll follow smith's lead: {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGE HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I know it's pretty pointless to say, but try not to freak out too much, it's going to be fine Smile Smile

You and Jeremy are sooo lucky! The time is ticking down very fast now, and pretty soon...ta-DAH!

Have you actually seen each other before, or will that be a first too?

At least Man and I got that out of the way about a decade ago...hehehe

He and I met at a disco (which I hardly ever go to, so I was lucky that my friends dragged me out that night...)and his friends noticed that he was eyeing me, and my friends could see that I was drooling in Man's general direction, and the rest, as they say, is history.

One thing you can expect is that you'll each notice literally hundreds of little habits and actions and preferences and ways of doing things that you never noticed before. That'll likely be the cause of lots of laughter and a little frustration...

Like, for example, Tim, which part of the medicine cabinet have you cleared for Jeremy's stuff? How do you know that's not the side that he's used to using? See what I mean? hehehe...

But don't sweat the small stuff. And as that book says, it's ALL small stuff.

well all the litle things we are going to work out once he and his boxes of stuff are here.
one of the biggest things we keep saying to eachother is TOGETHER, like where and what he is going to want to put stuff we will work out together.

and we both have talked A LOT about how we are going to attemptr to work things out but we both know and have said that there will be those days when things just wont work out...i guess you can say we both have our eyes wide open.

thanks for your input david and looks like your going to have to start your own thread as of tommorow.
