May I take a stab at a couple of them?

The "black box" is an easily-visible orange.

The "Canary Islands" question is a trick question: the Canary Islands are in the Atlantic Ocean, not the Pacific (to paraphrase a line from a Bugs Bunny cartoon, "Thought you'd outsmarted us, eh little chum?" [Smile])

I'll be sure to tune in for the rest of the answers!

I love questions...........

#3 I know this one from my tennis racket - catgut comes from sheep and hog intestines - synthetic now

#8 A purple finch is really red - I used to have parakeets

#10 Yeah, the black box is really neon orange - read that somewhere

#9 Chinese gooseberries are another name for Kiwi, so I'd have to say Australia or New Zealand - learned that on the food channel

#2 I "Asked Jeeves" about Panama hats and he sent me to the David Morgan website........I just ordered my dad a Panama Bush Walker for Father's Day Smile Super looking hat....anyway, I learned they are made in Ecuador.

After much thought, I have decided to answer with the following:

#1 I suppose that could be done, but it sounds like it would be burying someone alive, and that's not very nice... Wink

#2 I don't know if it's possible in California, and to be honest, I'm ready to believe just about anything about the US... Wink But here it isn't possible for a dead man to marry someone.

#3 Polar bear colored. Which, I personally think should be pink with green dots, but I didn't have a say when it was decided... *sigh*

#4 I would assume he weighs meat, but I dunno... I've never been to a butcher shop.

Setras

PS. If you're looking for an explanation for the very bad attempts at humor, read on.... Well, the explanation is: It's 6.42 AM and I'm just about to turn in for the night. Or day. Or something. And if you're still reading, please, get a life... Razz

...and I'm glad you found my answers funny Smile

#1 three letters: a, n, d plus 2 spaces.

#2 How can I do it? Easily Razz But the answer your looking for is 'one word', me thinks

#3 Seems we're not getting far from burying people. I hope they're dead this time Wink A coffin.

#4 Once. After that you'll be subtracting 5 from 20.

#5 An anchor

#6 The wind, or anything that is small enough for us not to see. I mean, air consists of molecules, and since wind is moving air, it's moving molecules, which should/do cast a shadow just as everything else. We just can't see their shadows. But just as well can be asked if a falling tree makes a sound if no-one is there to hear it...

#7 A cold

#8 Chuchu
