What being gay was like some 50 years ago? I have some idea, but I want to hear your stories.

I have no idea about 50 years ago. But I do know what it was like to grow up knowing I would be hated and teased and cured.

Oddly in the UK where I live, the period before December 1967 (legalisation of sex between consenting male adults in private) saw fewer prosecutiuons than after the act.

It remains illegal here, I think to ASK another man in public for a date! And the police enjoyed entrapping individuals.

Seems that nobody knows what being gay was like 50 years ago.
