I love quotes you can say so much with just one simple phrase...I love it! I am working on some quote books (they make great gifts ) and it would be great if you would share some of your favorite quotes with me!

Some of my favorites include:

"No one is really ever normal"

"When someone lets you down, don't give up on him."

"everything happens for a good reason, but sometimes we never figure out the reason"

"you always find time to do the things you really want to do"

Thanks
Danielle

"To the world you may be but one person, but to one person you may be the world!"

"Some people love you and some hate you.. those who hate don't know what they're missing and they're missing out!"

"Never underestimate your power to change yo

The wall behind my computer is covered with the quotes that I try to follow Smile

"Never act on any impulse that requires hesitation"

"Dreams aren't perfect. They come true.....not free"

"The past steps on the heels of the present"

"Some of us are just trying to get through the day without breaking something"

"My doves flew through the cars to safety" Smile

"We better the whole by bettering ourselves"

"You can't choose what you love; it chooses you"

"Don't let yourself be so angry you stop loving because one day you'll wake up from the anger and the person you love will be gone"

"Don't ever forget where you came from. No matter what your life was like, no matter how bad you think it was or what stuggles you had to face or how old you get in the many years to come...always remember your experiences, cherish them...because, good or bad, they made you who you are. It's the foundation that supports your present and builds your future"

"Nothing gold can stay"

Especially these two:

"You can't choose what you love; it chooses you."
That one is soooo true about Man and I, for sure.

And: "Nothing gold can stay" Did you see the great film "The Outcasts" that used this quote?

Robert Frost is one of my favorite poets, for sure. The rest of that poem is as good as the title/first line.

Nature's first green is gold,
The hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower
But only for an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf
So Eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay.

The Outsiders is a classic film..."Stay gold, Ponyboy."
It hurts to know that gold fades and, for so many, gray takes its place.

Dum spiro, spero.
Rough translation....While I breathe, I hope. Not sure which of the Roman poets said it, I think it was either Virgil or Plenny the Younger. Can you tell it's been a while since I studied Latin?

I've also kinda been fond of this one, but for different reasons, and under different emotions.

You know, you're the reason for birth control! Source unknown.

"Baby, it's all I know, that you're half of the flesh and blood that makes me whole! I need you so!" Mister Mister, Broken Wings

"At least there's pretty lights, although there's little variation, that nullifies the night, from overkill." Men At Work, Overkill

"Why do I feel it hard to write the next line, oh I want the truth to descend" Spandeau Ballet, True

"She's tidied up and now I can't find anything!" Thomas Dolby, She Blinded Me with Science

"You learn to walk and talk, and laugh and cry, work your fingers to the bone til the day you die, and love is the ritual!" Styx, Love is the Ritual

"Feel I'm on the cross again lately, but that's nothing to do with you, hoo hoo!" Love and Rockets, I'm Alive

It's not the wolf you see you should fear, but all the ones he howls with. Don't be afraid of the song, but don't piss off the choir.

This is my favorite quote of the moment:
