spear the tears for some one who has earned them
spear your compassion for some one that deserves it
spear your words of wisdom for some one who is listening
spear your love for those that cant love themselfs
spear your time for those that are open to accept it
spear your heart from the pain of trying
spear your life the bite of rejection
spear you eyes form the burn of life gone by
spear me the pain that i have delt others

Spare my eyes from the burn of life gone by.......Easy to say, impossible to do. We learn from the things that hurt us and we learn from those we hurt. We falter and fumble and life kicks us when we're down. But to request that I not share my compassion, my tears, my time and to say you do not listen is sad.
All of our 'eyes' have been burned, some much more than others. It takes time, understanding and care to get past what causes the pain. We learn from our mistakes, decide to stand up and try again. I may be a kid but I have had to stand up almost too many times.....

you guys are gonna make me cry.
first off, that was an awesome poem. I don't know who the writer is, but that was powerful and touching. I hope that you can feel that we all go through that from time to time. That it's not only okay to let it out, embrace it and then let it go, but that it's natural. We've all been there, my friend. All of us. Thank you for sharing that feeling and that wonderful poem with us.
smith, man, I am still blown away by your compassion and how quick you get to the heart of the matter. And if it's not too big an imposition, let me help you pass hugs to our anonymous friend here. You're a class act, pal.
