Thank God somebody had the same reaction I did!! When I saw the first one, all I ended up with was puzzled questions and a headache. Then I had it explained to me, and watched it again, which was just what I needed.

So, I'm waiting, too! Anybody got the Cliff Notes? hehehe

'There is no spoon', a kid in the first one says in one scene. The true answer is, 'there is no plot'!

It's all merely lame (and in parts rather pretentious) bullshit to give excuses for as many heavy action sequences as possible.

No wonder it gave you a headache trying to figure out what it was all about, hehehe! Doing that is like looking for that pen that you've got stuck behind your ear all along! Smile

Now I'm off to bed after another burst of fruitful inspiration.

Okay.....my opinion is 180 from Lenny Smile I loved Matrix and I went to see Reloaded this past weekend and just fell back into it all over again.

The Matrix is a computer program. As the machines began to do more and more of man's jobs, they began to take on a "life" of their own. A war between man and machines ended when man overplayed his power and assumed that the machines could be terminated by eliminating solar power. This assumption proved wrong when the human race was overrun and humans were "harvested" for machine power. The podlike humans were "plugged in" and fed the smushed juices of dead humans. So, the machines rule and they "feed" the humans thoughts through the Matrix, a complex computer program designed to make humans feel that they are living a normal life. They are kept alive to fule the machines.
A few humans escaped and freed some of the pod humans. They created the underground city of Zion. Morpheus, Trinity and the others were pod people, hence the "plugs". They are trying to free the millions still plugged in to the program.
Neo was a computer hacker in Matrix world. He "knew" something was wrong with life as he knew it but he had no answers. Morpheus was told by the oracle that Neo was "The One"....the one that could save the human race.
The agents are all part of the program and Agent Smith wants to be human. He is replicating himself to try to destroy Neo and take over Zion.
Neo has learned that he has made the same choice over and over and has not saved the humans but now the equation has changed in that he loves Trinity.
And now I wait for Revolutions Smile

I agree that the fight scenes were long but that's what people loved in the 1st part of the trilogy and Neo's crouch before taking off as "NeoSuperman" is hokey but it's a great story and I for one would take that red pill in a blink. Plus, Keanu in that long black coat is whoaaaaaaaaa !!
