For the new peeps, the rules are simple. Guess the character and the movie, and you get to pose the next question.
Starting simple...
Character and movie for the first one, please, and the second one is an oldie for the Geezers or the REAL Mr. Find It types...
"Weezer, you know I love you more than my luggage..."
And #2, the movie alone will be achievement enough...
"If only we didn't hate ourselves so very much..."
"Always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them quite so much." Oscar Wilde

well the first one is Clarise from Steel Magnolias
number two.....hum, that's a toughy, but I'd have to say it's some kind of old sci-fi of some kind. Sounds like the old existential question thing.
oh well. My knowledge pool taps out on this one

Yup, good old Clarrise...I have always loved Olympia Duchakas.
So, now you can pose a question for us all to answer...
Meanwhile, everybody keep searching your memory banks for the second one above.
Nope...not an old Sci-fi movie...in fact (HINT) it's an old GAY movie.

I was hoping someone would get that second one....How old is this "old" gay film? Older than me? 1987?

That's when the movie version of "Boys in the Band" came out...and that's where the quote is from, smart anonymous person...you were correct.
But the play was on Broadway earlier than that. I remember seeing it around 1980 or 1981, I think. Back when young Mr. Find It was -6 or so...Ye Gods, am I a true Geezer, or what...?
And D'Artagnon, was your quote from the cross-dressing former football player bodyguard of Robin Williams' mother in "The World According to Garp"?
If so, then here's the next quote to guess...
Character and movie, please...
"I will always come for you."

... "Boys in the Band" was actually made available overseas as early as early 1975, having been filmed late in 1974.
The stage-play had been running Off-Broadway for almost 8-years before it was pickup by an enterprising "do-gooder" and taken to the Great White Way.
I remember both the play and the film well, especially the film.
In fact my employer at the time (and probably still to this day does) must have had some 800 or 900 copies of the film; for you see the authorities raided the "Rochdale College Theatre" each and every evening, confiscating the prints. This went on for almost 3-years before the powers that be called a halt.
Co-incidently they were, at one and the same time, also snagging copies of another lovely "gem" entitled "Boys In The Sand". And Lord, am I really dating myself in revealing any of this.
The latter film is a true "must see" for any of you who have not had that delightfully luscious experience.
Ironically, I've never understood what the fuss was about; especially over "Boys In The Band". Neither picture (excepting a few uncirculated early prints of "Boys In The Sand") would be considered even "R-rated", by today's standards, and shouldn't have been so rated by ours back then.
"Song Of the Loon" from the same time period was another story altogether, and it's notoritey is more than well deserved.

I wasn't even a twinkle in anyone's eye......But now you're throwing out easy ones
Westley to Buttercup in the Princess Bride:
"Hear this now...I will always come for you. But how can you be sure? This is true love. Do you think this happens everyday?"
This one is my best girl friend's OTHER favorite movie and I've gotta say, when the star is running, all that hair flying out behind him......
"I will find you no matter how far or how long. You stay alive. I WILL find you."

Ah, that was Daniel Day Lewis playing the lead roll in The Last of the Mohicans (sp?). Awesome film. I loved the way they filmed the landscapes
Okay, now for something a completely different. Name the movie, if you can. The quote is by a member of the Israeli Secret Suicide Commandos in the film:
"Ugh! We showed them! >death rattle<"
