I would probably offer to help depending on 1) if they didn't look dangerous and 2) If I was sure I could communicate with them and we could understand each other (re language, as I live overseas). Cute or not wouldn't enter into it as much as whether I thought I could do anything useful.
Yup, I volunteer a bit. I've been on the Board of Directors of an AIDS education NGO for 5 years. I also help out at a local gay self-help organization, supervising a helpline volunteer staff.

It would depend on what the problem was....
A person bleeding from an accident needs help and a person on a violent rampage needs help as well... One needs to consider his own safety as well....
That second question is ludicrous....

1) It depends what kind of help, whether I was capable of providing it and what negative consequences it would have for me (I wouldn't stop to help someone with their shopping if I was already running late for work).
2) Possibly, as me having a chance with them would be a positive possibility that may tip the balance away from the negatives. It would only affect my decision maybe 3% though, if that..
3) Not at the moment, not officially. I still give of my time to people, though, just in different ways.
4) Meh?

I'd stop, just the way I am. I already volunteer, I'm a volunteer firefighter. Pretty much on call 24/7. Anyone that's been chatting with me knows when I get a call. I try to tell everyone before I sign off to go, even if its a simple "gotta go, fire call" I try to let them know.
As far as cute or not, don't matter, it's a time of need. Though, here lately, there has been quite a few cuties.....

Hmmm Would I help someoen on the street, would depend what they needed help with. If they were attractive wouldnt matter only what they needed. YUp I volunteer my time anywhere that needs me. Which is why I am like always at church! Bleeding hearted chump im not sure hwat that means

1) It would depend on the type of help needed. I would not want to make the situation worse through my own inabilities.
2) Good looking how? As in attractiveness? Or cleanliness? Again, depends on the situation. However, looks shouldn't enter into the equation.
3) As much as my necessary, bringing-home-the-bacon work will allow I volunteer at the local schools with tutoring and montoring. I am a sworn Child Advocate which is voluntary. And I am willing to provide my opinion to anyone who asks, lol.

I had a feel ing that most everyone here was giving and caring. I sure was not dissappointed of surprised.
You guys (gender non-specific hehe) are the finest group brought together in one place than almost anywhere else I have ever known.
Timmy deserves alot of the credit for that. As I am getting a lil choked up just thinkin about it I will cut this a bit short.
