Surely each and every one of you must have a film that has a special place in your heart....

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Sorry, Marc, I would help if I could. I told a friend the other day that I'd watched 6 movies. He said, "This week?" No. "This month?" No - ever! It wasn't THAT much of an exageration, but I'll try to watch out for one that might be interesting - promise.

how can i forget this movie, it impacted me when i saw it for the first time.

It talk about how a group of kids make a mistake when they were kids and get send to juvenile hall and later seek revenge for something that happened to them.

the movie is called "Sleepers" with Robert Deniro.

Tonight I watched Quills, a rather dark movie about the Marquis de Sade. It isn't particularly homosexual, but there was one part where the Marquis asks a priest to bugger him. Not to mention a few dangly male bits seen throughout the later half of the film.

I loved the movie except that it more or less glorifies de Sade by making him somewhat pathetic and turning him into a martyr against censorship instead of showing him for the sadist that he truly was. But that aside, it was an excellent flick. The acting, directing, production, costumes, soundtrack, etc were all first rate. Michael Caine, Joaquin Phoenix, Geoffrey Rush, kate Winslet, all excellent.

It's been out a couple of years, but tonight was the first time I've seen it.

Think good thoughts,
e

They will be posted all in good time.... But it will be my good time...

Is there any inclination within you as to just how annoying you can grow to be sometimes?

This thread was about film..... movies.....

Not about second rate wacking stories.....

friend,in MANY instances I have appeared as an overbearing and insensitive ASS on this board. All without exception have helped in some measure to change this. There is still more work to be done.Truth be told,I dont think many realise the profound effect we all have on each other and this is a very good thing.I think it should be noted that if not for timmy, this board would not exist.IN WHATEVER FORM. Perhaps none of us would have ever met.Our lives are the richer for the meeting.I would ask you to find joy in that meeting as that would also be a good thing.Friends bring joy to each other and that too is a good thing.Bash me if you will.I am your friend and always will be.BTW your barbs to me strengthen my resolve to be a friend. That WILL NOT change.....rob
