This must be en enormous drain on the emotional resources of both Timmy and Megaman. But it could be that there is also a financial drain. Timmy has told us how much the new site is going to cost each year, but he did not tell us whether the financial resources of Iomfats can comfortably cover that cost.

This site and this message board are a free service which we all love to visit and use. I do hope that those of us who have a regular earned income will remember to help out from time to time by visiting the PayPal service (there is a link on the Iomfats site). If each of us contributes a very few dollars every so often there should not have to be a drain on anyone's financial resources - and that would surely contribute also towards lessening the drain on emotional resouces.

And now would be as good a time as ever....

A great sage once said: "If I am not for myself who will be for me? But if I am only for myself what am I? And if not now, when?"

Something tells me Tim would feel those hugs are worth just about any monetary contribution from you and those in a similar situation (if not more).

For the rest of us, I echo Steve's sentiments in that other related thread. When you consider (in spite of everything!) how much good "IOMfAtS" and this forum does (especially for people like Andy and his peers), then you may just find yourself feeling that even the "maximum" contribution isn't enough.

May this transition be totally glitch-free.

Thank you (again!), Megaman and Tim!!!

Oops! It was THIS thread!

Sorry, Steve! I'm about 5 minutes away from bed.

I want to be sure that no-one feels any obligation of any description to contribute anything. Certainly the facility is there to do so, but I am by no means calling for funds however much I appreciate Steve's message. I don't mean to disparage his message, nor to disparage any messages like Marc's saying "This is a hobby"

The simple fact is that some people like the place and occasionally slip me a very small handful of dollars. Some people quite reasonably choose not to. I like BOTH groups of people equally. I support both groups equally (especially since I have no clue who contributes and who does not).

All I know is that I am grateful for the contributions when they arrive, since they allow me to use a reliable and "not free" web host without making either a loss or a profit. I lie that. Itls like using a crap place such as Tripod that junks gay saites, and having total control over content (within the web hosts terms and conditions).

I really hope this does not turn into a partisan debate.

I like being "paid in hugs". Frankly that is all the real thanks I need.
