What with July 4th right around the corner, and bar-b-q's sending up smoke signals from coast to coast I think it appropriate that we try to construct the perfect hotdog....
What do you like on your hotdogs??????
I like mine lightly grilled, on a toasted bun, with mustard, relish mixed with onion, and a special garlic-habbinero sauce a friend makes....
Yummy....
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I like mine "broiled" until it's skin crackles.
You then wrap a piece of processed-cheese around it, and tuck it into its' bun and once more place both the bun and dog under the broiler until the cheese melts.
Top with a few chopped-onions, a touch of green-pickle relish (my favourite at the moment is a creamed diced dill-pickle confecture that Bicks make), a smidgin of both dijon mustard and ketchup, and a garnish of jalapeno pepper-rings.
Sin served on a side-plate!

When I was a wee lad, my family did not have much in the way of money. We used to get together over at my aunts house so the family could save on babysitters, food, and other such things kids always seem to need.
Well, the rents and aunts and uncles got together and found a deal on a gross of cases of packages of hot dogs. Filled about half of a chest freezer full.
To make a long story short, for a while if you wanted to eat, you ate hot dogs. It took me about ten years later to have another. Now and then I have one (usually a bratwurst or sausage) but rarely ever eat them anymore.
I can honestly say I probably have had them every way possible.

My favorite hot dog might just be a snowboarder i saw a few months ago!

Are a term used to refer to the male appendage. Well, come on! Something can qualify as a phallic image as just so's it's longer than it is wide, right?
And if ya say (in Thai) "hot dog and 2 eggs" you have NOT just ordered lunch!
Well, in most cases not, actually...hehe

My favorite hot dog is hot dog men. They are the bets creation ever. Just slit the bottom to make legs then two slits on the side to make arms toss them right side up on the grill flipping them so they ook evenly. They are the best thing to ever happen to a hot dog.

Only one way to eat a hot dog. First it must be boiled in beer, then if possible lightly grilled. Finally put it on a bun with some brown (Gulden's or Stadium brand is best) mustard and onions (grilled or raw). Sauerkraut is an acceptable variation, but ketchup is an unforgiveable sin.
When I was a kid I could've lived on hamburgers, hot dogs, and pizza having one for breakfast, one for lunch, and the other for dinner everyday and never gotten sick of any of them. Of course back then I couldn't get any beer to boil the dogs in.

The nearest we get to a hot dog here is a pap filled sausage in a soft roll, with wet onions.

you have no clue about hot dogs. lets see, they come 10 to a pack, and the buns, of course come 8 to a pack. don't care how you cook them, just as long as there is some "Castleberry's hot dog chili sauce" to go with them. if that's all there is, no one gets any but me. don't believe me, invite me over. hehehe.
